Making Your Networks Work

Since technology in real estate is always changing, agents are forced to have to learn how to “keep up.” But that shouldn’t be a scary thing. In fact, it should be an exciting, high-energy, high-networking, social process. After all, you’re seeking out social information. But yet, how often do you come across a blog post that mentions some new technology that you’re not yet familiar with?

What about conversations with friends, colleagues or clients that talk about a new product or service that you haven’t used? Let’s just face it that sometimes everyone needs a good industry update. Well, I think we might have something for you…

Right now we’re taking registrations for three events in different locations that will cover all the trends your clients and colleagues expect you to know. In fact, NAR’s e-PRO® Certification is putting together this series of events in cities across North America to help you learn about these ever-changing topics.

Take this opportunity and turn your social connections – those you friend, like, follow, retweet, tag, etc – into actual clients. Learn how to leverage what you’re probably already doing on social media to benefit your real estate business. That is to say, turn all these virtual connections into real connections!

We’re working on 3 one-day tech conferences, called NAR Tech Edge, that will connect you with the latest, cutting-edge technologies and make you excited about topics like blogging, social media, mobile marketing, Google and cloud, photo and video, and much more. We’re corralling the best technology experts from Toronto, Miami, and Houston to come lead these events. You’ll hear from some super charismatic (and successful) industry pros that can teach you what you need to know to market and build your business.

So, [shameless plug!] mark your calendars for June 5th, or June 15th, or June 20th (depending on where you’re located) and register for one of NAR’s Tech Edge events. We’re very excited to be able to bring this sort of event to real estate agents all over the place! Be sure to register soon to take advantage of the early bird pricing. Also, if you’re attending the Miami event, plan a few extra days and enjoy the beach on the weekend :)

Hi Modene – We aren’t planning to offer a video feed of these events, unfortunately. We will, however, have some excellent content taking place live at the events.

REALTORS Association of St. Lucie sent me an email stating that June 15th, 2012 the NAR 1 day tech would take place in Orlando, Fl. I want to register for it but your site is stating June 15th, 2012 takes place in Miami. Orlando is closer for me and I would spend less time in travel & gas.

Can you please clarify if there will be one in Orlando on June 15, 2012 and will I still be able to take advantage of the early bird special?

    Thank You,

      Hi Carmen,
Great question and I’m so sorry for the confusion. We have relocated the Orlando event to Miami to avoid some scheduling conflicts. That being said, we’re still waiting to finalize a couple of pieces for that event, but I do know it will take place in Miami on June 15th and it will have a GREAT lineup of speakers. Bill Lublin will be presenting and emceeing that event and we’re pulling in some more local names like Debbie Kirkland, Suzann Roy, Jeremy Blanton, and loads more.

The good news is we are still doing the early bird pricing for members – it will be $39 for REALTOR members up to 3 weeks before the event. I hope that helps, and thanks for your comment!
